From the Principal’s Desk -Term 2 Week 10

I hope everyone has recovered from the dreadful weather early this week and that properties have not sustained too much damage. It is certainly surprising driving around town to see so many large trees uprooted and the mess the storm on Sunday evening caused. Luckily, our school escaped from major damage and our power was on for Monday morning. The students were excitedly talking about their storm experiences and we certainly had a great writing topic for the day!

Parent Representative – School Board

Would you be interested in joining our School Board? We meet twice per term and discuss our Business Plan, endorse policy and approve charges and contributions. Being on the Board is not an onerous role and gives you a great opportunity to be a part of the school improvement journey.

If you are interested, please give me a call at school or pop in to see me.

Kindergarten Enrolments

If you have a child at home turning 4 by 30 June next year, they are eligible to enrol in Kindy for 2022. Enrolments close Friday 30 June 2021. Please call our office or come into collect an enrolment pack, and encourage your friends to do the same.

P&C Toilet Refurbishment Project

The Year 3/4 toilets have had a complete make-over and are looking fresh and fabulous. This work has been funded by our P&C successfully applying for a State Government Election Commitments Small Grants Program 2021 – thank you! Thank you to local artist Glenn Hegedus who has done an amazing job! Next on the list is the Year 5/6 block… more news to come next term on this!

As Term 2 draws to a close, I hope everyone has a lovely break and time to spend with loved ones. We look forward to seeing our students back on Tuesday 20 July.
