The past two weeks have certainly given us a good dose of Winter. With the number of rainy days and howling winds, we all cross our fingers and hope for a clear patch at recess and lunch times so that our students can get out and have a run and play.
Book Week 2020
Last week we enjoyed a week of celebrations with our Book Week. We were delighted to host Dianne Wolfer, who spent time with our Year 3-6 students talking to them about the craft of authoring. Dianne was inspirational for our students to listen to and I sincerely thank our P&C Association for supporting and funding this event. Make sure you read Rosie Talbot’s account of Dianne’s visit in our newsletter.
Our character dress-up parade was held in the beautiful sunshine on Friday. We were all delighted the rain stopped for us and the sun shone through! It was fantastic to see so many students and staff dressed up, and some great imagination in thinking up costumes. It felt very special to have some school events back on after a long period with nothing on.
Interschool Cross Country
Our team competed at Mount Barker last Monday, and again, we were waiting with anticipation to see what the weather would hold. Luckily, the rain held off for the event, although I’m told by some of the students there was quite a bit of mud around. Our team represented our school with their usual great sportsmanship and support of each other. Read on in the newsletter for information about place winners. Great work team!!
Planning for 2021
A reminder to everyone that if you know you will be leaving our school next year, we would appreciate you letting us know as soon as you can.
Have a great week.
